This traditional Swedish wedding embroidery is a reproduction of an embroidery from 1863.

The original text is in Swedish and reads:

“EMIASD ÅR 1863 ”

English translation:
“EMIASD YEAR 1863”

Where S & D stands for son and daughter and EMIA are the initials of the couple.

The pattern includes the heart, alphabet, and numbers so that you can add your own text.

Stitched with two colors, 2 strands of DMC. Full cross-stitches only.
